Prior to the release of his new single and the release of the movie Jannat, we had the chance to chat with a very talented young man. Rocker 82’ as he calls himself, is quite an ambitious individual and his song Judai is already getting rave reviews in the subcontinent.

Tell us about your background?

I was born and raised in Dubai; there I also studied and received an honors degree in computers and audio/visual production.

How and when did you get interested in music?

My love for melody was passed on to me by my late father; he gifted me a guitar when I was 14 years old. I was self-taught at start, but later the internet also proved to be a great source.

What inspired you to do this professionally?

Putting in long hours and working hard on creating a unique musical signature have helped me become what I am today.

Tell us about your single Judai, what was the inspiration behind the song?

I wanted my first song to be something that everyone could relate to. The inspiration behind Judai came from the various lives around me, lives that were separated from the shadows of love. In one way or another…we all are incomplete.

Do you plan to make a music video for this song? If so, tell us when we can expect to see it on TV or on the web?

There’s not much I would reveal at this point, as we have a big surprise for all those awaiting my physical appearance. The prayers of my fans have brought me to this stage today, and I should appear on their TV screens in the near future!

Do you plan on releasing an album soon?

You bet! The Debut album Judai is more than half way through. I am working solo on the production, so expect some good news within this year.

Besides music, what are your hobbies and interests?

I can always spare a little time to enhance my flare for graphics and visual design. I guess I simply live for creativity!

Do you think that living in Dubai has helped in getting more exposure for your song?

Yes, I have a big fan following and tremendous support from Dubai; however, it has been my manager Amir Chaudhary who has taken my music to great heights.

What do you think of the Pakistani music scene? What would you predict for its future?

The future will always remain unpredictable! Currently, I think deep down in Pakistan we have some of the most talented musicians creating amazing music, and they are gradually getting the attention they deserve.

Lastly, what message would you like to give to the readers of The Saturday Post?

Things can only happen if you believe in god, love and passion. One should always try their hardest and take action in working towards their goals.
